Overview

Over the past six years Phil Burgess has interviewed more than 300 guests from around the world, across a broad range of software engineering and technology disciplines.

Each guest on the show has shared their career journey with the IT Career Energizer audience.  As well as providing their opinions and insight on the future.

IT Career Energizer Podcast

Having worked in the IT industry for more than 25 years Phil knows how important mentoring and coaching is, particularly for those at the beginning of their careers.  That is why he is so passionate about the potential of the IT Career Energizer podcast to help others start, develop and grow their careers, nurturing the future talent of the IT industry.

Guest interviews for the show typically last 30 to 45 minute and are audio only. Interview slots are scheduled for one hour to allow for pre-interview checks and discussion as well as a post-interview update on scheduling and next steps.

What Makes A Great Interview?

Effectively telling your story combined with solid audio quality.  The Logitech Clearchat is the minimum quality required for guests. If sound quality is poor the interview may not go ahead.

How Is The Interview Recorded?

The interview will be audio only, conducted over the internet through use of a tool called Zencastr. You will be provided with the URL Link after your interview has been scheduled.  Ten minutes before the scheduled start of the interview you will be sent a reminder email containing the URL link. This will enable you to join Phil in Zencastr for the interview.

Please note:  Use of either Chrome or Firefox as your internet browser is required for Zencastr to work.

Take us to the moment in time of what you would consider to be your worst I.T. career moment and tell us that STORY.  And tell us about the lessons you learned.

4. IT Career Highlight

Take us to the moment in time of your greatest achievement and tell us that STORY. Try to cover the key steps to your success.

5. What ONE Thing Excites You About The Future Of A Career In IT?

Share something that you believe gives reason to be OPTIMISTIC about a career in I.T., particularly for those new to or just considering a career in I.T.
