2 Top Career Tips
Show Notes
Worst Career Moment
NetSupport is a tight knit team as a business and the average tenure at the company is over fifteen years. The worst moments are when people that Al values as friends leave the organization. No matter what the reasons are for someone leaving, Al always feel there’s a sense of failure not being able to retain that person.
Career Highlight
Al’s business competes in a sector against large organisations and has quite enjoyed being the underdog. NetSupport has been selected by a number of leading brands of computer devices to be used as their chosen instructional technology for classroom management and then being rolled out countrywide such as Kenya, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Peru. They take pride in their products and enjoy the job that they do every day.
The Future
Al believes that there are huge amounts to be excited and optimistic about and loves the fact that it’s ever changing and evolving. There’s always capacity and scope for innovation. And nobody can claim to be a true expert on anything. Whenever Al thinks he has got a grip on a subject he realises that there’s twice as much that he doesn’t know and it opens another door. If you’re a lifelong learner, motivated and inquisitive then it’s never true to say that you’ve reached the pinnacle, you’ve reached the peak and that there’s nowhere to go.
