Worst Career Moment
Zhuoyue unintentionally broke a database version due to differences between QA and non-QA modes. At the time Zhuoyue was working on performance optimization. This introduced an issue that impacted over 80 developers which had to be reverted.
Zhuoyue learnt not to rush into something without careful consideration of potential consequences. The team also introduced a policy to test all code in non-QA mode before merging to prevent any repeat of the issue.
Career Highlight
Zhuoyue’s career highlight has been his work on persistent memory management architecture in Oracle database, allocating space for operations. He is now the owner and team lead for this critical infrastructure and has been responsible for delivery of important features.

The potential for advancement in Artificial Intelligence. In particular large language models.
