2 Top Career Tips
1) Focus on learning one thing well instead of spreading our skillset out too broadly. Specialising in one area will give you mastery of that subject, which is far more valuable than having diluted knowledge.
2) Always work hard to build good relationships with people, and not just for networking purposes. Building genuine relationships and friendships will be far more valuable to both you and the people you meet.

Suggesting a feature for Egghead, and having it accepted was a real highlight. Designing and implementing new features that allow a greater sense of ease when it comes to use.
The Future
Server lists and AWS, as well as cloud infrastructure, are areas in which Will sees much opportunity for growth and excitement. Community-based innovation is also helping to drive creativity.

What first attracted you to a career in I.T.?
An interest in early web-development through MySpace showed Will the potential of the future.
What is the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you put in the work, people will find it. Aim high and work hard, and your results will be recognised.
What is the worst career advice you’ve ever received?
Only work for a big company and ignore the smaller companies. Will has thrived in a small company and benefits greatly from the close environment.
If you had to begin your career again in today’s world, what would you do?
Will would work hard to build more significant things at the outset of his career.
What career objectives are you currently focusing on?
Focussing upon education areas, as well as building a more robust develop language skill set.
What’s the number one non-technical skill that has helped you in your career so far?
Effective listening cannot be discounted. Taking notes if needed.
What do you do to keep your own career energized?
Simply trying new things, which is very easy to do in web development, There is always something new to learn.
What do you do in your spare time away from technology?
Will’s main pursuit outside of family time is reading.
